Every day in Polk County, many families and individuals have to make difficult choice when it comes to the basic necessities of food, shelter, healthcare, and childcare. All too often, sacrifices have to be made that not only affect the health and development of families but, also take a tool ont their quality of life.
Many people, in this time of need, feel alone and without hope, or are embarrassed to reach out for help. The staff and more than 130 volunteers assure them that help is at hand, despite the pressures they face.
Each client is treated with understanding and compassion. The help that we give is based on individual need and circumstances.
