Many of our clients come to us with health issues that require long-term treatment and care. Often times these follow up treatments can only be done out of polk County at one of our regional hospitals or healthcare facilities. These may include chemotherapy, dialysis, outpatient medical procedures and other appointments.
Outreach maintains a volunteer transport team who drives these people to/from these vital appointments. Travel reimbursement is available for these volunteers who provide transport.
If you would like to join the transport team, please give us a call. We are seeing an increased need for these services. You will be helping, in many cases, to save a life!
